Every year the Cadet Association lays on three mini-regattas for all sailors, whatever their skill level, to put some of their winter training into practice.
You’ll meet old friends and new, take part in first class racing (including on-the-water coaching for Bronze fleet sailors) and have a chance of picking up some silverware or great prizes from our event sponsor, Zhik.
All three events will run to the same formula – 6 races over two days, with prizes for Bronze, Silver and Gold fleets, and the odd social event thrown in for good measure. And we also use the overall results from all of these events to select the seven boats for the 2019 GBR World Team for the Cadet Worlds in Poland – you have a shot at a place just by taking part!
Where and when?
• 6 and 7 April: Stone Sailing Club for the Peter Scott trophy.
• 27 and 28 April: Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy for the Alf Simmonds trophy.
• 4 and 5 May: Grafham Water for the Clemenson Nautilus trophy.
The Notice of Race for each event has been published here and entry is now open. There is a discount to enter all three – and a discount if you book before the last week!
