Frensham Squadron April 2023 Update

It’s been a busy month for Frensham Cadets. The Frensham Open on 19 March saw 64 sailors from three clubs travel to the pond to compete in the first Cadet open event of 2023. The sailors were there but the wind barely showed up. Shame, but still some great sailing. Home turf and Frensham boats in first, second and third for main and regatta fleet. Well done to winners George and Hugh continuing their 2022/23 winning streak and congratulations too to regatta fleet winners Ava and Isabelle.

We are one selector down after Weymouth a few weeks ago. With six Frensham boats in the top ten, team Frensham is excited to go into selector number two at Burnham next week. The FPSC sailors go in with high hopes but realistic expectations knowing that the next two venues will be tougher on the inland sailors and easier for those used to tidal sailing. A great turn out in the regatta fleet for the aways, eleven Frensham regatta boats came to Weymouth!
